Work in progress: Neve was well prepared to work in the scriptorium, with her fingerless gloves. Her illuminated letter was heart-warming too. Emma managed to work a horse into her design – a white one with a flowing mane. Lovely! Neve’s finished art work looks like a garden… Ken slogged for hours in his home scriptorium to complete this wonderful design. Wayne would have been a sought-after writer for the monastery scriptorium. Bryce created a striking snaky design, despite a severe injury to one arm. Alex created a design in the shape of a shield, with two swords and several subliminal soccer balls. For some reason there’s a knitting needle in mine. Simple, stylistic and effective, by Lachlan Sam’s letter is a story and a lifestyle as well as a simple phonogram. Jess’s letter is a living thing. Emily’s finished product is a tribute to the artistry of the 7X scriptorium. Even for medieval times, Kai’s design was unusually gruesome.
